what's in my carry on?

hello hello beautiful! ♡

i'm currently packing my bags for my upcoming trip to florida and i thought it'd be great to share with you my travel essentials or what's in my backpack, purse and whatever that i carry with me on the plane every time i travel. also, christmas is near and a lot of people are going on vacation so, it might be useful for some of you!

first of all, when travelling, i personally usually go for a backpack as a carry on, just because i think that it's easier to carry around.

1 | PASSPORT/ID CARD, PLANE TICKET & WALLET

obviously, you can't travel without this haha. i always put this in a handy way in my backpack so i can find it easily when i need it.

2 | PHONE & LAPTOP

i like to bring with me my laptop, because sometimes i have to do some homework even on vacation or i write some articles... and my phone is obviously needed lol!

3 | PORTABLE CHARGER & CHARGERS

a portable charger can be really useful because, sometime you just can't find a place to charge your phone in the airport while waiting for your flight and it can also be useful once on the plane even though most plane now have USB port, so you can charge your phone, computer, etc.

4 | HEADPHONES

honestly, they're so important, especially if you're going on a long flight. assuming cranky children might share your flight, always bring yourself a good set of earphones / headphones and ear plugs so nothing can disturb you from resting.

5 | A BOOK

having a book can also help you pass the time when you are traveling. i'm usually not a big reader so i also bring a cross word search book to do while on the plane.

6 | WATER BOTTLE

since you are not aloud to take any water through security i like to take my refillable water bottle and once i pass through the security i fill it up at one of the water stations.

drinking water is so important, you gotta stay hydrated!

7 | LIP BALM

my lips are always dry, so i practically can't live without lip balm.

my recommendations: eos and burt's bees are my favorites!

8 | MOISTURIZER

skin care is so important, especially when you're flying, because your skin gets even more dry and i also have lotion for the hands, because sometimes i feel like my hands gets a little dry.

9 | HAIR TIE

only because i usually feel more comfortable if my hair are in a ponytail or a messy bun while on a flight.

10 | HAND SANITIZER

please bring hand sanitizer with you when you are traveling! germs spread so easily in an airport and on the plane since everyone is in close quarters. plus it's always nice to have some right before you eat something.

11 | TISSUES

i never leave home without a pack of tissues.

12 | SNACKS

of course people on the plane always hand out snacks but, when you are waiting to board or you just get hungry it's nice to have some snacks that you brought with you. make sure to bring stuff that is small enough to fit in to your backpack and doesn't take too much space. like protein bars or any type of bars, goldfish, mix nuts like cashews or sunflower seeds.

13 | COMFY CLOTHES & SHOES

those are essential for traveling, you just want to be comfy!

14 | NOTEPAD & A PEN

i like to have this just in case the inspiration invade me in the plane and sometime you might need a pen to fill up some paperwork at the airport.

15 | EMERGENCY KIT

rather than putting your toiletries into your biggest suitcase, bring them on the plane in your carry-on. the most essential hygiene products can be used during the flight if needed such as deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste. i suggest purchasing travel sized alternatives, instead of using your own products, though.

16 | MEDICINES

i usually pack this with the emergency kit, all in the same place, this way is easier for me to find them. i usually carry painkillers and nausea relief pills just in case.

17 | MONEY, CASH AND CREDIT CARD

really, you can't go anywhere without money!

18 | MAKE UP ESSENTIALS

i only bring the essentials (lip stick, mascara and concealer) in a zip-lock in my carry on, and the rest of it is in my suitcase.

19 | EXTRA CLOTHES

in case your suitcase gets lost or something, you actually never know, so it's better to be prepared.

20 | SCARF OR SWEATER

bring a scarf or sweater because it's usually quite cold in the plane.
