for when you feel sick

hello darlings!

hope you are all doing well.

i apologize for not posting in months... i decided to take a break from posting and writing articles for a while, but i've also been super busy with college. now that my finals are done, i'm back! i actually missed writing on here, and sharing all kind of stuff with you girls!

during the next month, i'll be working my buff off to write new articles, that way, i'll be able to post more often once i get back to college after the holidays in january.

thank you for understanding ♥︎

i've been sick for a few weeks now and i'm just starting to feel better in the past few days so, i thought it'd be fun to write an article about must have/ must do essentials when you're sick.

grab yourself a hot drink, snuggle in your favorite blankets and enjoy scrolling through my article!

USING HOME REMEDIES

hydrate.

• stay hydrated! it prevents headaches and fatigue.

• skip caffeinated sodas, coffee, and alcohol, which can dehydrate you.

sip on hot beverages.

• the heat can ease sore throat and fatigue.

• try sipping non-caffeinated herbal tea, lemon water, or warm broth.

!! my favorite tea when i'm feeling sick is david's tea - organic cold 911

have a spoonful of honey.

• stir it into a cup of decaf tea or lemon water.

fruits and vegetables.

• eat lots of fruits, especially vitamin c packed fruits like oranges, mandarins, kiwis, lemons.

• eat lots of greens like spinach, broccoli, avocados, peppers, green apples etc.

• don't eat sugary foods or greasy foods as it will make you feel so much more miserable than you already are and it will intensify your throat discomfort.

eat chicken soup.

• it can calm inflammation in your body, such as aches and stuffiness. this meal also has liquid and calories to give your body energy.

TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF

rest.

• try to sleep at least eight hours per night.

• sleep in and take naps throughout the day.

• stay cozy.

stay home.

• stay home from work or school (if you can), and put your daily routine on hold until you feel better.

take hot showers or baths.

• it helps to relieve dry nasal passages.

get some fresh air.

• get out in the sun and breathe in fresh air. it will make you feel sooo much better. fresh air, fresh you.

that's it, i hope this helped some of you! and if you're currently sick, i hope you'll feel better soon! x

V
