simple gestures of kindness

hello and welcome to another article!

i firmly believe in small gestures. pay for someone’s coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, give compliments. people do notice, people appreciate.

i appreciate it when something is done for me. for some people doing small gestures of kindness can be an effort, but believe me... every time you make them, you feel so good about yourself. and for a moment life suddenly feels lighter❤

here are some ideas of simple gestures of kindness:

⇢ compliments

you're with someone, or you see someone and they have a nice outfit, their hair looks good, their smile is contagious, their personality is amazing... tell them! compliment people! it can make their day and you are being sincere, so why not?

⇢ smile

smile at people, even if you don't know them. a simple smile can brighten up someone's day. don't you like smiles? other people do too, so give them one of your beautiful smiles!

⇢ stand up for someone

if you come across someone being bullied. stand up for them. if you can't do anything about it try to find someone who can and try to stop it. it can mean the world to the person who's being attacked and can show the bullies that it's not ok.

⇢ listen

if someone's talking to you about whatever thing they want to talk to you about, listen carefully. pay attention and show them they are being listened to. that's being polite, kind and a true friend.

⇢ ask people about their day

ask people how they are. maybe all they need is someone to talk to. it shows that you care about them and how they are feeling.

⇢ note

writing small notes and pass them to other people is such a cute idea! you could leave a note with compliments on your friends desk, write "i love you" to your parents or leave a small note with "thank you for the coffee" at the table of your favorite café!

⇢ hold the door

hold the door open when someone walks behind you instead of just going away! especially when the person carries something, they will be really grateful!

that's it! some small gestures can show your kindness. practice them as much as you can!

thank you for reading!
