to those who think they aren't enough
it doesn't matter who you are. no matter how many bricks you've had to stack. no matter how long you stayed up listening to music because you couldn't sleep because of someone breaking your heart in any way possible. it doesn't matter how much you've gained or how much you've lost. the truth is. you are enough.
you are the most exquisite person to many people and those who say otherwise will evaporate from your world so long as you make them. you are incredible to the human eye even so that even the most ugliest person in the entire world can change overnight. you have the soul of an angel and the mind of a genius and a heart of a child whose innocent smile lights up an entire nation.
you keep me grounded and i appreciate that. you know how to turn me on and turn me off. you can say mean things but the words coming out of your mouth afterwards that are filled with honey can make everything sweeter than it was before. you keep the earth orbiting around the sun and the stars in the sky explode.
you are so talented even at the things you suck at the most. you can make this flawed planet turn into a heaven and anywhere corrupt a sanctuary. you can make the grumpiest person in a room laugh so loud an earthquake hits and people don't even notice it because they're too busy laughing on the ground with us. you can make someones tears of saddness into tears of joy just by the touch of your hand on their shoulder. you can make a broken object into something even more sublime than mount everest. you can make the smallest person feel tall and the tallest person feel small. you can make absolutely anything happen.
why?
because. you are enough. and you're really good at telling otherwise but, that shouldn't be the case. you are enough. and that should be something to remember whenever you've come home from a long day of work and you just want to cry in a pillow. you are enough. and you know this deep down but have all these doubts clouding your head from seeing it.
you are enough. everyone knows you are enough. and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
