25 small gestures of self care

self-care is a daily practice. some of us treat self-care as some kind of reward and not as a part of our daily routine but, i believe you don't need a special reason to show love and affection to yourself. establish self-care as a habit of your daily routine by practicing at least one of the following self-care gestures everyday!



1| name 3 things you are grateful for before going to bed

2| listen to your favorite songs or playlist in the morning

3| look at yourself in the mirror and name 3 parts of your body that you love

4| treat yourself with a snack on your way home

5| say "no" to your phone. log out from all your social media accounts for a little while


6| discover new inspiring people and communities to follow on social media

7| go on a date with your significant other or hang out with friends

8| declutter your digital devices and social media following

9| meditate for 5 to 10 minutes in the morning to clear your thoughts

10| take a 15 min break from work or study to stretch your body


11| read 3 motivational quotes throughout the day

12| after a long day, take some time off and enjoy a movie or an episode in the evening

13| eat healthy meals and snacks during the day

14| enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning while enjoying a good book, a podcast or a youtube video

15| have a spa day at home


16| wake up earlier in the morning and take your time to get ready. dress in your favorite outfit, do your hair and take care of your skin

17| take 30 minutes of your day to work on your passion

18| go for a walk outside

19| declutter, organize and redecorate your room

20| make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night


21| write down all of your worries, doubts, fears and negative feelings into a piece of paper

22| have a sleepover with your best friend

23| buy a gift to yourself

24| set yourself some goals and celebrate every little victory

25| enjoy dinner with your family



self-care isn't selfish, it's about taking care of your mental and physical health. it's about establishing new healthy habits, changing your mindset, learning how to love yourself, showing kindness and forgiveness to you as you would to a stranger and facing every day, good or bad, as a precious lesson. it's a lifetime journey of healing your past, accepting yourself and constantly evolving into a better person.
